Step into Broome St. General Store, a delightful cafe nestled in the heart of Los Angeles at 2912 Rowena Ave. This charming spot is not just a coffee shop; it’s a haven for relaxation and exploration. The moment you arrive, you’re greeted by an inviting ambiance that resonates with warmth and creativity.

The soul of Broome St. lies in its delicious coffee offerings and impressive selection of pastries. Start your morning with a rich Espresso or an Americano, both priced at just $3.50. If a smoother brew is your preference, their drip coffee, made using the French press method, and refreshing cold brew promises a delightful pick-me-up. And for those looking to indulge in something different, the Chai Latte made with honey, available for $5.95, strikes the perfect balance—not too sweet, just right! You’ll also want to try the Turmeric Latte at $4.50, a drink that’s as nourishing as it is tasty.

But it’s not only about the coffee. The cafe’s pastry selection is a treasure trove waiting to be sampled. Patrons rave about the pistachio croissant, a flaky, buttery morsel that complements your coffee perfectly. While some varieties may sell out as the day wanes, you’ll find that the treats here consistently earn high marks for their delightful flavor. Just ask Isabelle, a local regular who sings praises for the pastries, claiming that "everyone is a HIT!"

The charm of Broome St. General Store extends beyond its delicious offerings. The outdoor seating area, praised by many, becomes a little sanctuary where you can enjoy your coffee amid the gentle LA breeze. Keanan Block mentions it as "amazing," and with its comfortable atmosphere, it’s an ideal spot to unwind. Perfect for a leisurely afternoon, many customers have found joy in reading or simply soaking up the sun in this welcoming space.

While the service has received mixed feedback—some customers praising the baristas for their friendly demeanor while others suggest a need for more staff during peak hours—the essence of the cafe remains steadfast. It's about community, comfort, and quality. Customers like Betsy Blackard highlight the freshness of the chai latte, affirming that it's brewed to perfection, avoiding the often disheartening syrupy taste found elsewhere.

In addition to the beverages and pastries, Broome St. features a selection of knick-knacks and home goods, making it a unique retail experience as well. Whether you’re looking for gifts or a little something special for yourself, you’re sure to find items that resonate with your personal style. As Mariah Johnson noted, it’s a treasure trove for culinary and home enthusiasts alike.

So, whether you're a local seeking a favorite haunt or a traveler exploring the eclectic vibes of LA, Broome St. General Store is a must-visit. Grab a drink, savor a pastry, and soak in the atmosphere—you might just discover your new favorite coffee escape. Don’t forget to bring your book or a friend to share the experience of this lovely cafe!

This is my neighborhood coffee shop and also my favorite in la. The coffee is amazing - naturally sweet. The baristas are wonderful. Pastries incredible (everyone is a HIT.) They have an amazing collection of goodies to buy so it’s a great place to gift shop, or shop for stuff for yourself. The outdoor patio is lovely and very sweet. This place rarely gets too packed that it’s overwhelming. An absolute gem

Cute spot! Could do with one more employee (one taking the orders, one making the drinks) because when I went someone was doing double duty and it was a bit of a wait, but nothing too crazy. The pistachio croissant was amazing, and they have a nice seating area outside.

The atmosphere in the outdoor seating area is amazing. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and pleasant. This place is a great option for coffee (and browsing around the small store) and stopping for a relaxing rest.

One of the best Chai Lattes I’ve had. Tastes fresh brewed instead of syrup or powdered. They use honey so it was the perfect amount of sweet and the spices were nice without being overwhelming. Their list of scones sounded amazing but I got there late in the day so they were out of almost all their pastries! Spent a perfect afternoon reading on their gorgeous shady patio. Went for the cafe but the shop is adorable. As others have mentioned, tons of gorgeous home items and specialty food/drinks for your pantry. I was especially impressed at their selection of non-alcoholic spirits and mixers. Will definitely be back for gifts and to get my hands on those scones!
